4-Day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking and Akagera National Park Safari.
4 Days
Day 1 :
Arrive in Rwanda and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival at the airport at Kigali international Airport, you will be received by our company representative who will be your driver guide who will transfer you to Volcanoes National Park and upon arrival, check-in to your lodge for your dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 :
Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park and Visit the Dian Fossey Museum.
After an early breakfast, you will proceed to Volcanoes National Park headquarters in Kinigi, for a briefing about the does and don’ts of the tracking activity and later be assigned rangers in different groups and embark on tracking the gorillas. Once gorillas are sighted, you will spend an hour watching your closest long lost cousins and after embark on your return from the park and proceed to your lodge. After lunch later in the afternoon go for a tour of the Dian Fossey Museum where you will get to know more about the historical love and care showed to the gorillas by the Dian during her time here and as well as see some of the historical symbols that where collected and preserved in honor of her great work till the day she was assassinated by the rebels. You will later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 :
Transfer to Akagera National Park and have an evening game drive
After an early breakfast at your lodge, you will checkout of your lodge and embark on your transfer to Akagera National park and this drive will take a maximum of 5 hours arriving at the park in the afternoon hour and head directly for your lunch and relax, you will then go for yet another amazing experience of game viewing on your game drive through the park to see animals like the lions, zebras, elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Leopards, hyenas all while on this game drive. You will later proceed to your lodge in the evening after the game drive, check-in and relax. Later be served dinner and spend your night here.
Day 4 :
Morning game drive in Akagera National Park and transfer back to Kigali.
After breakfast, you will go for an early morning game drive to see some animals you might have missed seeing in the evening game drive and more wildlife most of which you might have seen the previous evening such as elephants, impala, black-tailed mongoose, hippos, oribi, bushbucks, antelopes, zebras, Cape elands, giraffes and buffalo. You will also see primates like the Olive baboon, vervet monkey and bush baby. You will go for lunch after the game drive and later embark on your transfer back to Kigali where you will be dropped off at your hotel in Kigali.
