3-Day Murchison Falls Big 5 Safari and Ziwa Rhino Tracking

Early in the morning, our experienced guide will come to pick you up by 7:00am from where you will be, to start your journey to the best of Uganda’s national park, very endowed with very many animal species. The park is denominated by so called the big four (Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffalos).

The journey starts from Kampala to Masindi and direct to the Murchison falls national park, with a stopover at the Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino trekking, continue to Murchison falls where you start being embraced by scenery of the park, narrow gorge of 7meters wide, because of its steepness violent water falls, falling to 43 meters to the sea level. Here, you will be seeing falls by imaginations of the nature, definitely unforgettable memories. After having memories of the source of River Nile, you will then proceed for an evening game drive where you will see a great number of game including giraffes, Uganda kobs, hyenas, buffaloes and so much more and then proceed to the lodge.

After breakfast, set off for a sunrise game drive to see the Cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, Uganda kob, hartebeest and waterbucks. You may also spot oribi, bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, bush duiker, warthog plus large carnivores including lions, leopards and spotted hyenas. Crocodiles and hippos will be seen along the banks of the Nile. Some of the more common birds that can be seen include goliath heron, Egyptian geese, pelican, bee-eaters, kingfishers, hornbill, cormorant, saddle-bill stork.
You will return to your lodge for lunch and some relaxation before setting off in the afternoon for a boat cruise on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the falls. En route you will see hippos, crocodiles, water buck and a wide variety of birds including the unusual shoebill stork. The boat stops just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron” for pictures to be taken of the photogenic and majestic Murchison Falls. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After an early morning breakfast at your lodge, set off to inside of Murchison falls national park for game drive, your tour guide will lead you to see animals before they go for hide outs. We expect to see the repeatedly animals seen while on boat cruise the previous day and ones that you may had not seen like, lions, leopards, elephants, cheeters, giraffes, Uganda cobs, zebras, very many animal species. Be dropped off at the airport for your departure flight to your next destination or at your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala depending on your program.
