3-Day Akagera National Park Wildlife Safari
3 Days
Day 1 :
Transfer Akagera National Park
Today after breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali and transfer you to Akagera National park. You will get to your lodge in the park in time for check-in and lunch. In the evening you will go for your first game drive in the park. Look out for the different animals that live here. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 :
Sunrise game drive in Akagera – Boat ride on Lake Ihema
Today morning, you will wake up early and head to the park before sunrise to look out for the early risers. Look out for lions, elephants, buffalo, hyenas and the different antelopes that graze freely in the park.
Later in the afternoon after lunch, you will go for a boat safari on Lake Ihema which will reward you with hippos, crocodiles and the countless water, swamp and savannah birds that come here. Some of the birds are the fish eagle, cormorants, and kingfishers among others.
You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 :
Transfer back to Kigali
Today marks the end of a successful safari. You will be transferred back to Kigali after breakfast. If you have an outbound flight, your guide will transfer you to Kigali airport.
